1. A suit (navy or gray)

Even if you don’t need to wear a suit every day, you must have at least one suit in your wardrobe. Navy or gray suits are classic and neutral and can be dressed up or down. You can even wear the blazer with khakis or jeans.

2. Black shoes and belt

These can be worn with khakis, jeans and your suit. Black is a classic color and goes well with almost anything.

3. White dress shirt

White dress shirts are versatile and good for day and night occasions, but should not be worn as a casual shirt.

Even if you are not an athletic type, athletic wear is great for those lazy Sundays or going for a walk.

10. Casual shirt

A casual shirt like a polo or button down is a must have with jeans or other casual pants.

Shoulder length

There are two main types of suits when talking about shoulder padding - British and Italian (or American). As for the British type, the shoulder padding extends a bit over the shoulder itself and then it rolls down into a sleeve which makes men’s shoulders look broader. As regards the Italian and American type – the shoulder padding ends precisely where the shoulder bone does. So, you decide which of them fits you best.

Number of buttons

The more buttons the suit has, the taller the man wearing it looks. One button is popular this spring, but remember that it will look great on you only if you are at least 6′ 2″. In case you are shorter prefer a suit with more buttons. Two-button suit is the best choice and this type of suit makes your waist appear slimmer. Three-button suit helps create a much leaner look.

Cloth for a suit

When choosing your suit, it is essential to select the right fabric.
Cotton is good for suits as it is warm in winter and cool in summer. The perfect colors are black, grey and navy.

Linen is perfect for hot, humid summer days. Brown, white and cream colors are best choices.
