- Take into consideration the season. If the event takes place in summer or spring, think about light material and bright color. For the cold season, choose the dark colors and “heavy” cloths.
- For a formal cocktail party, after work, is preferably a business-casual dress code. A jacket with a pair of khaki trousers and a shirt opened at the neck, or a pair of black jeans with a sport coat and a black rolling. Prefer black leather loafers, or sandals instead of sneakers.
- It’s good to know that the cocktail party in afternoon weekend are less formal than the weekdays, evening. For a formal party, held in the afternoon, opt for a business casual outfit or for a costume if party it is evening. If the party is less formal, opt for a casual outfit for the afternoon and wear business-casual clothes evening.
